Private aircraft passengers can now be kept in the know about their location and course with the Aero 454 CO detection device with Bluetooth. When integrated with a Garmin GPS, this CO detection device can receive and send GPS aircraft location data via Bluetooth to as many as three passengers so that they can independently monitor their location. All the passengers need to do is install an app which provides flight plan data, "direct to", and approach information on their device of choice (iPod, iPhone, or iPad). The Aero 454's fundamental capabilities as a CO detector include detecting and measuring CO levels and providing a visual alert to the crew of a piston engine aircraft when CO reaches a critical level. The installation consists of a single panel-mounted CO detector operating on aircraft DC power.
