The SSD120-62NE-RS232 is a high-altitude, solid-state altitude encoder that measures air pressure and converts it into ICAO parallel data for Pressure Altitude Transmission. The device also provides altitude data on two RS232 asynchronous outputs. The serial data protocol can be selected individually on each output and is used to provide pressure altitude data to GPS, autopilots, transponders, and other navigation devices.
- Equipped with dual 1/8-27NPT static port inlets, one standard ICAO pressure altitude grey code output and two asynchronous RS232 outputs
- Serial altitude data resolution can be set to 100 or 10 ft (an additional data protocol for one-foot resolution or metric data is also available)
- Altitude range 1200 up to +62,000 feet
- Extended operating temperature range -55° to +70°C (-67° to +158°F)
- 15-pin and 9-pin D-sub connectors and a corrosion-resistant aluminum housing
- MIL-STD-704E and RTCA DO-160E, FAA TSO-C88a and EASA ETCO-C88a
