The AV-590 duplexer allows two communications radios to share one antenna. In normal, non-switched mode the AV-590 evenly splits the signal between two radio receivers. When the control voltage is activated by a microphone's PTT, the AV-590 switches the antenna to the corresponding radio transmitter and isolates the other receiver.
